Amazing Discoveries
Liberia was founded by free slaves from the USA who repatriated to Africa in hopes that only in Africa can they be truly free. They declare independence in 1847 and has thus been a free nation governed by Liberians. Liberia has over 18 cultural groups including descendants of the early settlers and together they call Liberia home. Liberia leads Africa as the first to have accomplished a lot of things. First to give voting rights to women, first to elect a female head of state and a leader in the fight for freedom in Africa.
